The franchisee is licensed to operate the restaurant under the McDonald's name and trade dress and to sell their food products. However, the franchisee is a completely independent company and employer from McDonald's USA. The franchisee will be your employer if you are hired for this position, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment-related issues with respect to the restaurant including but not limited to hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling of employees. McDonald's USA has no involvement in any employment-related matters, will not receive a copy of your employment application, and will not become involved in any employment decisions, including whether or not you are granted an interview or offered a job.
